2.8.6.5: Manage Port User Authorization

This process supports the port community information system processes by registering users and authenticating their access to facilities and information. This process shall collect user registration information, both companies or agencies as well as individual operators, drivers, etc. This process shall record the credentials of the users of the system including their access to certain information. This process shall, upon request of other processes in this function, verify that the user in question does, in fact, have authorization to access the requested information. This process shall inform the other processes when a breach has been attempted or detected.
