10.5.3.3: Provide Field Equipment Maintenance

This process shall provide support for the portable equipment used by field personnel to locally troubleshoot, initialize, reprogram, and test infrastructure equipment. It may include a laptop, specialized diagnostics tools, or any other general purpose or specialized equipment that are interfaced locally to infrastructure equipment to support maintenance and repair. The status data will be processed in the field to provide a complete view of the operational state of field equipment. The information will also be sent to Maintenance and Construction Field Personnel. Fault data will also be accepted from Field Personnel. The process shall support inputs from the operator in manual or audio form, and shall provide its outputs in audible or visual forms. It shall enable the visual output to be in hardcopy, and/or display.
