Personal Wayfinding Information Reception
Overview
'Personal Wayfinding Information Reception' receives formatted wayfinding information on pathways (e.g., sidewalks, bike lanes, moving sidewalks), open areas (e.g., pedestrian plazas, parking lots), indoor facilities, and crosswalks and presents the information to the traveler. The traveler information broadcasts are received by personal devices including personal portable devices such as smart phones and personal computers.

Requirements

02 | The personal device shall base requests from the traveler on the traveler's current location or a specific location identified by the traveler, and filter the provided information accordingly. |

06 | The personal device shall accept personal preferences, recurring trip characteristics, and traveler alert subscription information from the traveler and send this information to a center to support customized traveler information services. |
07 | The personal device shall provide the ability for a traveler to set up and modify a user account for wayfinding. |
