This data flow contains the request from the driver for the vehicle to change the automatic control setting. The value of the data will decide the form of control to be provided. Values may comprise but not be limited to manual control, platooning, eco-drive (approach and departure from equipped signals), speed control, headway control, lane control, automated lane use, cooperative maneuvers, etc.
